Dangerous Pests Found In Your Home

Species of ticks

Itchy, inflamed skin, sores, sick kids, and days out of work are just a few of the troubles pests stir up. Mosquitoes, ticks, roaches, ants, and termites put the health of you, and your family, at risk. Learn to recognize these household pests quickly, and do what you can to keep them out of your home.

Ants
Ants come in all shapes and sizes. In fact, there are over 12,000 different species. A black ant infestation may not seem like a big deal, and you may be tempted to leave them be. When you find them in your cereal or bag of chips, though, you are not going to feel safe sharing food with them, and rightfully so. Even black ants carry germs and disease.

Other species are worse. Know how to identify ants. Fire ants are aggressive and sting, so if you have little ones or pets, you want to get rid of them right away. Wood ants pose some of the same problems as the next pest on our list.

Termites

Termite problems are no laughing matter, especially when your house is falling down around you. Termite glands leave scents, making it easier for termites to flock to the same area and work together. Individual colonies have different scents, but that will not stop them from ruining your home. Get professional help at the first sign of termites.

Roaches

Did you know American cockroaches carry 33 types of bacteria, 6 different species of parasitic worms, and at least seven other microorganisms that are harmful to humans?

Ticks

There are many different species of ticks. All of them are bad. Having ticks in your home endangers you, your family, and family pets.

Pests are any animal or plant that endanger humans, livestock, or pets. Spiders and their webs are actually useful in getting rid of pests. Spider webs, in proportion to spider weight, are strong than steel, but they can only do some of the work for you. Whether you have ants, roaches, and any species of ticks, you should consider taking action and calling an exterminator. For more about this, go here.
